Begoña Núñez is a Senior Consultant Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in private and public mental health services.
After starting her education in Europe with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Begoña Núñez obtained the advanced degrees of Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and Master’s in Cognitive-behavioral Psychotherapy (from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia); and Post-graduate diploma in Neuropsychology (from Universidad Pablo de Olavide). Later she pursued a 4-year clinical training in US, obtaining a Certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and a License in Psychoanalysis in NY State.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Nowadays, in addition to her private practice Begoña works as a psychotherapist, supervisor, and intake clinician for an out-patient mental health clinic. She also is a faculty member and supervisor at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Begoña has been extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychoanalytic psychotherapy and mindfulness techniques. She has vast experience in different settings such as schools, hospitals, Non-Governmental Organizations, geriatric centers, out-patient clinics, etc.
In addition, she has continued developing her skills through continuous courses and trainings, with such areas of expertise as: depression (and mood disorders), anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, parenting, personality disorders, eating disorders, fertility issues, anger management, grieving, trauma, impulse control, autism, psychosomatic disorders, behavioral issues, life transitions, relationship issues, and other life stressors.
Begoña offers short and long-term psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, couples counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and supervision for other clinicians.
In addition to her work with adults, throughout the years she has specialized in working with adolescents and their families as well as issues related to young adults.

Dr. Andrea Pousada-Fitzpatrick is a Senior Clinical Psychologist Consultant, Neuropsychologist and Neuroscientist with over 15 years of experience in private and public mental health centres and clinics, treating a wide range of psychological and neurological conditions.
Dr. Pousada-Fitzpatrick obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a PhD in Neuroscience from University Complutense of Madrid. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the departments of psychiatry and neurology of Harvard University Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Nowadays, she combines her clinical practice along with her academic work as university Professor in Psychology in American and European universities. She is also an experienced clinical researcher in the field of mental health and neuroscience focusing on cognitive biomarkers, endophenotypes and clinical aspects of bipolar disorder, psychosis, personality disorders and ADHD using techniques such as Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Electroencephalography (EEG), Neurofeedback and Biofeedback. She has participated in several international scientific conferences presenting the results of her research and giving lectures and talks in different institutions.
